“If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?” // Esther 4:14
Hey guys! Happy Sunday!
This week starts my blog + video postings! You can catch all my videos on my Youtube Channel, and I’ll post the corresponding video for this blog post down below.
This week I want to talk about moments we–as Christians–are made for. Most of us have heard of Esther 4:14, and we love it! We love this idea that we’re made for a specific moment in life, one where we’re standing at the top of the mountain certain that this is why we’re made!
Do I believe in such moments? Absolutely…I’ve experienced them myself! But I think we need to take this verse and apply it more across the board in our every day life as Christians. Those I was made for this moments don’t happen every day. They’re awesome–but rare–occasions. And I believe God has made us for these moments … and more!
As Christians, God calls us to certain things, certain reasons why we’re still here on earth. There’s a reason God didn’t take us to heaven the moment we were saved. He has stuff for us to do here. Ephesians 2:10 tells us, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Yes, God has gifted us and put dreams in our heart to chase after, and I believe we should chase after those with all our heart. BUT! I feel like God has created us for every day moments, too.
Here are some moments I believe we–as Christians–are made for.
- To Worship God. We find all over the Bible that God’s people worship God. That’s how our relationship to Him works. He is holy, amazing, and has rescued us from sin. Because of that, we worship Him. This seems like a pretty simple one, and it is. Take some time out of your day to worship God, telling Him how much you love Him and how holy He is. He doesn’t need your worship, but we’re all wired to worship something. Worshiping our Savior sets us in a right mindset, remembering who God is, who we are, and setting our priorities right. Worship is something we’re made for.
- To Love Others. Jesus talked about this a lot. We’re still here on earth because we are to love other people. Jesus loved us, and in turn, we have love to give to others (1 John 4:19). When we love others, that will bring comfort, hope, and healing to others. Even better, it may just lead them to Jesus (See Luke 6:27-36).
- To Make A Difference. We’re here to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Whether this means loving on a hurting neighbor, serving at a soup kitchen, donating money to an organization sharing the Gospel, or just giving an encouraging word to a friend or co-worker, there are many ways we can shine the light and ways doors can be open for the Gospel to be shared and even received.
- To Make Heaven More Crowded. Out of everything, this is one of the main reasons we’re here on earth. Without a doubt, we are made for this. When we become a new creation in Christ, we’re responsible for getting the Gospel to as many people as possible (Matthew 28:18-20). There’s many ways to do this, and God equips us all differently in order to bring people into God’s Kingdom through Jesus (Romans 12:4-8, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27). We can’t make people believe, but we can bring the Gospel to our neighbors, co-workers, inner cities, third world countries, and so on. Whatever God has gifted you with, and wherever you feel He’s given you a heart for, pray about going and doing those things. At the end of the day, we’re going to want to stand in front of God at the end of our life knowing we did everything we could to bring our friends, family, and even strangers into His glorious Kingdom.
A lot of us are wondering our purpose or walking around trying to figure out what God wants from us.
A lot of us are wondering our purpose or walking around trying to figure out what God wants from us. These are sure-thing, Scripture proven, moments God has us here for. This week, let’s try to find opportunities to walk in moments we’re made for. Pray for those opportunities, and watch God open them for you.
And if we do, you never know, someday we might just change the world ❤
Until Next Time,
